Where are you based?
We are based in Rayleigh In Hanningfield Close, Parking can be limited so it is usually best to park at the end of the road on Bardfield Way. We can be found on google for directions.
What should I Wear?
This is really dependent on which session you have booked. If on location, we always advise suitable footwear (trust me, it’s no fun wearing sandals in the woods) Feel free to contact me for us to discuss the best options.
What Should I bring along?
For Newborn sessions: There isn’t a lot for you to bring along. I suggest spare bottles if your little one’s bottle-fed, dummies again if your little one has them, and nappies. If there are any specific items or outfits you would like to bring along for the session, please feel free to bring them with you. I love a cute outfit and a special teddy.
Maternity sessions: I have a few dresses that can be provided or alternatively you can bring along your own. Floaty, light dresses work really well. I also recommend scan photos, a pair of little shoes or booties and anything else sentimental that you may like to bring along.
Cake Smash: You will just need to bring along the little one, their outfit & a towel. Everything else will be ready for you at the studio.
Pets: I’d advise bringing along favourite toys and treats (especially in the studio) this helps them remain calm and help them into poses.
Of course, you can contact me anytime to check what you might need or want to bring along to your session.
When will I get my Images?
My turnaround time is usually 2-3 weeks. (Depending on the season. Excluding weddings)
After your session, around a week after I will send over previews that have been cropped, there will be 2 or 3 example images to show you how they will look when completely edited. You will then pick which images you would like via the online gallery and I will edit & upload a new ‘completed’ gallery for you.
Cake smashes: You can either book after their birthday or if you would like them back in time for their birthday please bare in mind a 3-week turnaround so it is advised to book a few weeks before.
What should I expect in my Session?
A warm and welcoming environment, every session is different but I try to make it as fun and calm as possible. Sometimes clients can be a little nervous and not know what to expect. I like to calm nerves and chat throughout sessions with both adults and children. This will really help settle you and your little ones, as a Mum myself I know how daunting it can be. If you have a little one that is a little shy just pop me a message so I can make sure we have extra time on our side as I do not put any pressure on your child to pose. I often find letting children explore the studio, have a little chat with them, do things at their own pace, and not forcing them to be involved works wonders.
Newborn Advice for Sessions
As mentioned above I always advise bringing along extra bottles (if bottle fed), dummies if your little one has them, and nappies. During these sessions, if you are opting for family & sibling Images I do suggest for these to be done first. I would recommend an additional family member being on hand to take siblings once we have finished these shots and the remainder of the session to just be the little one. Sessions can be quite lengthy and very warm in the studio and it can be hard for children to relax and be comfortable. We like to maintain a calm environment for both parents for the rest of the session.
